Provincial Team Programs

The Provincial Program comprises athletes who are part of the Provincial Team and Provincial Development Teams commencing from the team announcement of the current season until the team announcement of the following season.

Provincial Team
The Provincial Team consists of athletes who qualify to compete in this program and who are looking to move up and compete in the in the National Team Selection Races. The team may be populated to a maximum of 20 athletes. Selection to this team will be based on Coach’s Discretion, athlete commitment and the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model for Skeleton. Most often PT members are second year and beyond sliders.

Provincial Development Team
The Provincial Development Team will consist of athletes whom have participated in a Skeleton School and who qualify to compete in this program. The team may be populated to a maximum of 20 athletes. Selection to this team will be based on Coach’s Discretion, athlete commitment and the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model for Skeleton. Most often those athletes in their first year of sliding or those not yet ready for full skeleton commitment are part of this team.For more information on the Provincial Program, please see the program outline in the Athlete's section.
